AR Governor’s Mansion
Just steps from the executive mansion of the Governor of Arkansas, a quaint Guest Cottage was renovated to create a welcome and soothing space for visitors.
A living room, bedroom and bath were designed in an economy of space and with a purpose of blending soothing neutrals. The restful color palette requested by the First Lady was used in a blend of textile designs and a collection of transitional furnishings. The Cottage was designed to stand separate from the regally traditional Executive’s Mansion although featured repurposed elements. Draperies were updated with pearl edging when used within the inviting Cottage décor.
Highlights
A layering of colors and fabrics of multiple design density; A suite of three rooms pulled together with soft hues and gold accessories for an executive enclave.
Inspiration
A soothing and restful retreat for visiting family, friends or dignitaries.
