Pop the Champagne, take a sip, and let me take you on a tour of our new website.
Just to let you know, we have been working on our new branding and new website for over two years. However, it really does feel like over a decade.
About four years ago, when we decided to start our product design division, I realized that we really were becoming more of a Lifestyle brand. From interior design, books, product design, and more we were transforming beyond interior design and more into what my followers were begging for.
So…let’s take a tour around the new Shayla Copas Lifestyle website.
First up is the Home page.
As you will notice, our logo has changed quite a bit, and we have now decided to place Shayla Copas Interiors under the Shayla Copas Lifestyle umbrella. The home page will take you through some quick facts about our new brand. Interior design, entertaining, and now travel! About four years ago, I started getting messages from followers on Instagram asking me to offer group design-inspired trips, and guess what… I listened! I will explain more when we talk about the Travel section of the site.
You will also notice a ton of fun photography that showcases our work and has more of a lifestyle flair.
Let’s head over to the Interior Design section of the site. We have added several, but not all, of our projects to give an idea of our capabilities. We also have added new categories such as outdoor living design, houseboat & yacht design, product design, and more! This really did take us quite a while to put together, as I had to make it a priority to shoot our projects. I am sure glad that I did because they all look so beautiful on our new site. We are busier than ever with our design clients, so we expect to add more projects to this section over the next few years as we continue to photograph them all.
Not only are we able to service our interior design clients in Little Rock, Arkansas; the expansion of our lifestyle brand will continue to develop our out-of-state clients.
Next up…Travel! So, there are a couple of reasons why we are taking on a travel agency…and I will go more in-depth when I launch a travel blog post in the future. First is that several of you asked me to add travel; second, because I am really a gypsy at heart; and third because I had a not-so-pleasant experience while traveling a few years back and realized that it was time to add travel to our brand. Every year I will offer design and culinary-inspired trips with a touch of adventure! I will personally lead these trips, and sometimes the hubs will tag along! He’s super excited about that.
Plus, we are going to offer luxury travel design on a regular basis to all wanting a Virtuoso travel advisor. The need is so great in Arkansas and around the south that we already have a full-fledged agency, even though we have not officially launched until today! Thanks to nearly two years of schooling with an amazing host agency that taught me the “art” of designing over-the-top trips and the business side as well. In fact, they did such a great job that I will probably stay in their education program until I am no longer practicing. A huge thanks to the Gifted Travel Network!
Just as we did with the former site, we are still featuring the book, events, awards, and so forth. But another new addition is our SHOP! Now, you can shop all of the Shayla Copas Collection plus my favorite brands from the comfort of your home. I have received so many questions over the last few years about buying the products, so we decided to create a store just for YOU!
In our new online store, we now have a new Shayla Copas Collection member of the family – Shayla Copas Beauty. Ok, don’t laugh, but I really do listen to you guys, and about as many messages come in about beauty products as travel, so we have been working the last year and a half on the Shayla Copas Beauty line, which launches TODAY! I will describe it more in-depth in a future post. I do not intend to get away from interior design as that is the foundation of my business, but with our new path to Lifestyle, your suggestions really did make sense, and I am thankful for all of the messages because you guys have played a huge role in our future and our growth. THANK YOU!
I cannot complete this blog post without giving a shout-out to our entire team that worked on this site! In fact, when I was first able to see the site I cried VERY HAPPY TEARS because our website designer “listened to us” and I was so grateful for her talent and her passion. Chelsey recorded me as I literally cried BIG TEARS and we sent her a video. I will share that on another day.
In no particular order: A huge THANKS to our Hive Marketing & PR team, Meghan Andreu & Chelsey Copas, who put in a ton of hours, as well as the following peeps; Kristin, our website designer; Greg, our SEO guru; and our copywriters; Meryl, Laurie, Angela, and Emily. There are numerous photographers that have shot me in the last two years, but the majority of the photos are from Jason Masters and Janet Warlick. Both of these amazing creative geniuses are from Arkansas and we are so lucky to have them here. Last but certainly not least is our talented and super cool team member Michelle who shot our travel video while we were in South Africa. Chelsey also shot a good majority of the other videos on the site. I have also added some POLYWOOD videos for you to enjoy that were shot with their stellar team.
Y’all, I am SO EXCITED about this site and so relieved to have this project finished…you have no idea. I look forward to hearing your feedback. Just promise me that you will not come up with another product or service category for me…please! With design, books, products, travel and construction/design marketing, I think I have more than one girl can handle….seriously…LOL!
