Day 1: A Scottish Arrival
You’ll start your stay in Edinburgh with a luxury private transfer from the airport—your driver will be waiting to help you with your luggage and give you a warm, VIP welcome.
We’ll start exploring Scotland’s historic capital city with a private tour of Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Our guide will share the most captivating secrets of the Scottish kings and queens, poets, and warriors who once roamed these historic streets.
We’ll also get the chance to visit the renowned Tartan Weaving Mill shop before ending our first day together with a bang—at the Spirit of Scotland Show. Embark on a dazzling journey of song and dance while you dig into a four-course meal of Scottish classics.
Retire to The Balmoral, a five-star luxury hotel that sits at the very best address in Edinburgh. With its iconic clock tower, unrivaled skyline views, and a chic interior inspired by the country’s heather-covered hills and lochs, this hotel is more than a place to rest your head—it’s a landmark love letter to Scotland.
Day 2: Castles and Palaces
Enjoy breakfast at The Balmoral before starting your day with a tour of Scotland’s most famous sites: St. Andrew’s, the birthplace of golf.
We’ll spend an afternoon diving into sumptuous design. First we’ll tour Scone Palace, a lavish,1,500-year-old home filled to the brim with antiques, paintings, and artifacts—and even the desk where Marie Antoinette wrote letters before she died. Next, we’ll move onto foreboding Stirling Castle, a historic site that withstood at least eight sieges. An icon of independence and a center of Royal celebration, the castle today merges fact and fiction as you meet costumed characters who will welcome you into 16th-century life.
End your day by checking into the chic countryside getaway Cromlix. An astounding Victorian-era estate owned and refurbished by tennis star Andy Murray, Cromlix boasts elegant, light-filled rooms, secluded woodlands and gardens, and impeccable yet discreet service.
Day 3: Onto Gorgeous Glasgow
Enjoy breakfast at Cromlix before venturing to Scotland’s other great city: Glasgow. We’ll start at the Lighthouse, a modern center for art and design just off the city’s Style Mile.
Once we’ve worked up an appetite, we’ll indulge in a private Eat Walk Tour of Glasgow’s gastronomic delights. We’ll stop at up to five first-class restaurants, bars, and eateries for tasty morsels. Mingle with local people, soak up history, and experience the true culture of Glasgow as you travel through the historical heart of the city and into the belly of Scotland’s foodie scene.
Our final stop today will be a visit to the New Lanark Village, a UNESCO heritage site featuring a former 18th-century cotton mill spinning village. Our guided tour will enable you to see how the villagers lived, learned, and worked and will also give you the opportunity to see historic working textile machinery.
Dinner on your own before your transfer to your next stay: Crossbasket Castle, a sensitively renovated, 17th-century castle transformed into one of Scotland’s most luxurious hotels.
Day 4: Fresh Farm Delights
Enjoy breakfast at Crossbasket Castle before a full day of fresh air, good eats, and country living!
Today, we’ll venture to Wilson’s Farm & Kitchen, a working family farm based in the Scottish Border region. First up is a 90-minute “field to fork” tour of the farm (on trailer and on foot) to discover how the team grows their food. Afterwards, we’ll dig into a two-course, home-cooked lunch in the stables, featuring both produce from the farm and other locally grown goods that showcase Scotland’s distinctive flavors.
We’ll gather together for one final group dinner at our hotel, before transfers back to The Balmoral in Edinburgh.
Day 5: Say Goodbye
Time to say our Scottish goodbyes! Enjoy a final breakfast at the Balmoral before your private transfer to the airport.
